Meet Our Assistant

Stephanie McGarry is an Eastern Michigan College student. She went to Milford High school and was an active member in the Milford Marching Band. She too has spent most of her life living in Milford, moving here 5 days after her second birthday from Brighton. She graduated from OCC in 2006 with a Liberal Arts Degree, and currently attending Eastern Michigan University; where she is majoring in Creative Writing and a minor in Journalism.

Stephanie loves to travel as she has gone as far as Russia with the Milford Marching Band. Recently she took a trip to Washington DC where she visited the Nations Capital.

Stephanie lives at home with her younger brother, Norman, and parents Ann and Norm McGarry. Stephanie's best friend is the newest addition of her family, Cosmo, a one year old puppy. She also has a collection of domestic birds, which she and her mother have rescued from un-wanted homes. At this time she has an extended family of 5 Cockatiel ranging from 2 years-old to 15 year-old! She in the pasted rescued a sick love bird, who when rescued did not want to eat, she nursed him back to health, hand feeding him four times a day, giving the old bird another chance.

Stephanie's true passion is writing. Besides all other obligations, she still finds time to write. She truly enjoys writing short stories, but she has been known to write a play, and a few poems.

Stephanie maintians our website, creating the pictures for our Ads in the Real Estate Book along with other places our pictures appear. Another big part of her job is making the fliers that are sent out via mail and email. Stephanie is a great character and a strong member of our team.

Real Estate Tips
First Time Buyers >Credit Card Common Sense

If you are buying a home for the first time, you need to establish a reasonably good financial foundation before a lender will approve you for a mortgage loan. Lenders look for a good credit rating, sufficient funds to make the initial down payment and pay the closing costs, and a stable employment situation.

People who have just qualified for a mortgage loan are usually in better-than-average financial shape. If you have recently purchased a new house, don't be surprised if you receive numerous offers from retail stores and other credit card companies offering you pre-approved revolving credit.

Be careful about accepting these offers! New home owners often use most of their savings in the process of financing the transaction, and they need everything from linens to furniture to get settled in the home. With all of the immediate credit available, it may be very tempting to just say "charge it." If you're not careful, you could be "up to your ears" in debt very quickly. It takes discipline to reach the goal of home ownership--and it takes that same kind of discipline to maintain financial health after you leave the closing table.
